Certified Laser Practitioner
“As of November 2017, all laser schools certified by the State Council of Higher Education in Virginia (SCHEV) has put a cease and desist on schools offering laser certification due to the change of laws regarding laser enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia on March 13, 2017. Laser certification is on hold awaiting further guidelines by which to continue instruction from the Board of Medicine.”
While Northern Virginia Laser and Esthetics Training provides instruction and certification in our own facility, we are also able to train and certify you and your colleagues at your place of business. The costs for this service vary and take into account the number of students receiving training as well as the cost of travel. Below are our frequently asked questions and a breakdown of our fees according to geographical location and hours of training.
Where do we train?
Our on-site training is available in every U.S. state as well as various international locations. One to 2 weeks advance booking may be required for jobs exceeding 600 miles round trip. International and cross-country locations may require longer.
Are your trainers familiar with my laser or IPL system?
With literally thousands of aesthetic light devices on the market, we certainly haven’t worked with EVERY one; but we’ve worked with most. That being said, we have a vast background when it comes to lasers and IPL and we’ve never met a system we couldn’t master and train on in a short time. Even if yours isn’t one we work with regularly, as long as we have the manual we can train you. Brands we work with frequently include but are not limited to: Alma Harmony, Alma Soprano, Alma CO2, Sandstone IPL, Sandstone Ultralight, Sandstone CO2, Cynosure Apogee, Cynosure Apogee Elite, Cutera Coolglide, Cutera Genesis, Candela GentleYag, Syneron, Lumenis, ConBio, and Palomar.
What’s do our fees cover?
Our fees cover the following: student and instructor materials, instructor compensation, certificates and certification, on-going support via telephone and email, our instructor’s travel, lodging, and dining.
NVLET provides students with all of the necessary material for their on-site training. Material such as our school manual, client data worksheets, a glossary of industry terminology, vendor and supply lists, and more are provided. As an added value to an already reputable program, we provide continued support via email or phone with one of our nurses or trainers at no additional cost. Assistance with obtaining professional insurance, business advice, and assistance with purchasing additional equipment is also available. Our ongoing support is an invaluable service as most businesses and newly certified technicians have questions and concerns when they first begin.
